Arianna Huffington

Arianna Stassinopoulos Huffington resides in the US. She is a Greek-American writer, syndicated journalist as well as a businesswoman. She is the author of fifteen books. She is also the co-founder of The Huffington Post. Arianna Huffington is a writer, television personality, philanthropist and also the proprietor and publisher of The Huffington Post. Her move from Greece to England at the age of 16 and received an MA in Economics from Cambridge University in Economics. In her 21st year, she was president of the famed debate club The Cambridge Union' and was the first foreign born student in the history of Cambridge University to be elected. Following after her college graduation, she became a prominent right-wing syndicated reporter. A few more years later, she founded The Huffington Post which featured critical commentary on the current politics. Arianna was able to attract many prominent contributors to share their thoughts about politics and culture. Arianna became famous after she decided to stand as an independent candidate in the California Recall Election in order to succeed former Governor Davis. She also headed a Detroit automobile project that was fuel efficient. She was named The Most Influential Women in Media by Forbes in 2009, gaining the 12th place in this list. That same year Guardian named her on the 100 most influential media on their list. AOL Inc. bought The Huffington Post, and she was made president of this media group. It included a variety of AOL properties of the time like Engadget AOL style list and Patch Media. Elli is the child of Konstantinos who was a Journalism and management expert. She was very close with her father. But it was her relationship with her mother which formed her. From her early years, she displayed leadership qualities that remain highly respected. At the age of sixteen, she left America to the United Kingdom and enrolled Girton College Cambridge. During her college days she was a member of the college debate group Cambridge Union where she became the first foreign president and was also the third female president. She graduated in 1972 with an MA in Economics. After her graduation she worked as a critic for a newspaper column and a television host. Her appearance on Face the music with Bernard Levin was also noteworthy. Her first novel was written. books with his guidance for editing.
