Amy Smart is an American former model and actress. The modeling career she began with was in Italy in Italy, in which she was born and raised, before being was born in California. Her Costly Affair, a 1996 TV film which was her first film part. It took some time to get her into Starship Troopers in a smaller role. Amy struggled to make the shift to acting because models were not considered as good actors, and they generally were offered less roles. However, Amy refused to give up and began to take on more prestigious roles. It all started with the series The 70s and the film Varsity Blues. After a few years Amy made the jump into bigger roles. She starred in the 2005 romance film Just Friends alongside Ryan Reynolds. Amy got her first recognition by the industry for her performance in the last decade. There were several major films in the Crank trilogy alongside Jason Statham. And she was also a regular character on The Shameless series.
